  • A tongue tie is when the tissue under the tongue is too tight or restrictive, limiting proper tongue movement. This can impact things like breathing, swallowing, speech, sleep quality, jaw development, and overall oral function. Every tongue tie is unique, which is why a full functional assessment matters.

  • Getting started is simple. You’ll begin by filling out a contact and intake form through my secure client portal so I can learn more about your concerns, goals, and health history. From there, we’ll discuss the next best steps and create a personalized plan that supports your unique journey toward better function, breathing, and overall wellness.

  • No- Myofunctional Therapy is non-invasive and not supposed to be painful. Think of it as physical therapy for the muscles of the mouth, face, and tongue. Sessions are designed to gently retrain proper muscle function and create healthier patterns over time. If therapy is ever painful, you want to be honest with your therapist and scale back accordingly.

  • Your tongue is meant to rest gently against the roof the mouth. Proper tongue posture supports healthy breathing, jaw development, swallowing patterns, airway function, and even posture. When the tongue rests low in the mouth, the body often adapts in ways that can contribute to long-term dysfunction over-time.

  • Most therapy sessions last between 30-60 minutes depending on individual needs and progress through exercises. I want each session to feel supportive and unrushed, allowing time for questions, check-ins, education, and personalized guidance along the way.

  • Therapy sessions focus on improving breathing patterns, tongue function, oral habits, muscle coordination, and overall airway health. We’ll work through personalized exercises, track progress, and build simple routines that fit into everyday life. Sessions are collaborative, encouraging, and designed to help create lasting functional change.

  • My goal for every session is to create a calm, welcoming space where you feel seen, supported, and empowered in your wellness journey. I take a root-cause approach and believe lasting change happens through education, guidance, and sustainable habits—not quick fixes. Every plan is personalized to meet you where you are.

  • I typically work with children ages 4+ through adulthood. It’s never too early — or too late — to begin improving function, breathing patterns, and overall health. Every stage of life can benefit from better oral and airway habits.

  • Sessions may be offered virtually or in person depending on your individual needs and location. In person visits may take place at an office setting or, in some cases, within the comfort of your own home. My goal is to create flexible, supportive care that works best for each client and family.

  • Referrals are not required to work with me, but I do try to prioritize a collaborative approach with other providers when necessary to optimize your care and time.

  • We do not directly accept insurance. However, we believe that cost shouldn’t be a barrier to getting the support you need. We are happy to discuss customized payment plans on a case-by-case basis.
